¹² Zechariah was troubled and terror-struck when he saw the angel.

¹³ But the angel said to him: “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah: your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. ¹⁴ This will bring you joy and celebration, and many will rejoice at his birth.
